Bergamot Station Arts Center’s Winter Open House on Saturday, December 13 is going to be part of the city-wide celebration of Santa Monica's 150th anniversary!
The open house will showcase 15 fine art galleries presenting special exhibitions, artist talks, and festive receptions, alongside live music, a DJ, stand-up comedy, and theatre. Guests can also enjoy offerings from local food vendors and a beer garden.
As part of the Open House festivities, William Turner Gallery will host an artist walkthrough and book signing with Guillermo Bert for his ongoing exhibition, Longing & Belonging. Bert will give an artist talk from 2:30–3:00 PM, and will be available to meet visitors, answer questions, and sign catalogs until 5 PM.
At 3:00, William Turner Gallery will present a cello performance by Jernej Copic. Originally from Slovenia, Copic trained under renowned cellists Jürgen de Lemos and Ciril Skerjanc—both students of André Navarra and Pau Casals—and participated in master classes with Japanese virtuoso Mineo Hayashi. His performance on December 13 will include jazz, world music, and love songs.
Come experience the creative spirit of Santa Monica!
