Bergamot Station Open House

Bergamot Station Art Center’s winter open house on December 13 is going to part of the city-wide celebration of Santa Monica's 150th anniversary!

The open house will showcase 15 fine art galleries with special exhibitions, artist talks, and festive receptions, alongside a lively lineup of live music, a DJ, stand-up comedy, and theatre. Guests can also enjoy offerings from local food vendors and a beer garden.

William Turner Gallery will be hosting an artist walkthrough of the ongoing exhibition “Guillermo Bert: Longing & Belonging” during the open house from 2:30-3:00PM. The artist, Guillermo Bert, will be onsite to share insights, meet visitors, and answer questions until 5:00PM.

The gallery will also feature a cello performance by Jernej Copic from 3:00-3:45PM. Jernej Copic [Yerney Chopich] is a Santa Monica based artist, educator, and scientist. He began studying music and cello as a six year old in his native Slovenia, then continued his studies with highly recognized cellists, Jurgen de Lemos, and Ciril Skerjanc, both students of Andre Navarra and Pau Cassals. Early on, Copic attended master classes by a leading Japanese cellist, Mineo Hayashi.  His performance on December 13 will feature love songs, jazz, and world music.

Free parking for the event will be available at Bergamot Station with overflow parking available nearby.

Come experience the creative spirit of Santa Monica on Saturday December 13!
